Terms of Service

By accessing or using HimShaadi, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms. If you are creating a profile on behalf of a family member (such as a son, daughter, brother, or sister), you confirm that you have their explicit consent to do so and that they meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and HimShaadi. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

• Each user may maintain only one active account. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited and may result in suspension.
• You must provide accurate and truthful information during registration and profile creation. Misrepresenting your identity, age, marital status, or other personal details is grounds for immediate account termination.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Any activity under your account is your responsibility.
• You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• Accounts that remain inactive for more than 12 months may be deactivated. You will receive prior notification before any deactivation.

All content you upload to the platform must adhere to our guidelines:

• Photographs must be recent (within the last 6 months), clearly show your face, and not contain watermarks from other platforms.
• Profile descriptions must not contain offensive language, hate speech, or discriminatory content based on caste, religion, gender, or disability.
• All uploaded content is subject to review by our moderation team before being publicly visible.
• We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines without prior notice.

• Subscription fees are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR), exclusive of GST. GST at 18% is added automatically at checkout and the final payable amount is shown before you pay.
• Payment must be made in full at the time of subscription purchase through our supported payment methods (UPI, cards, net banking).
• Subscriptions are non-transferable and may not be shared with or sold to other users.
• Plans that include a dedicated mediator/manager (such as Diamond and Elite) are a facilitated mediation service: your assigned mediator will call you by phone, typically once or twice daily, to shortlist profiles, coordinate interests, and assist your family as part of the service.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' advance notice. Existing subscriptions will continue at the original price until renewal.

• We accept UPI, credit cards, debit cards, and net banking from all major Indian banks.
• All payments are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways with 256-bit encryption.
• Subscription benefits are activated immediately upon successful payment confirmation.
• GST at 18% is added automatically to the plan price at checkout. The total amount payable, inclusive of GST, is displayed before you confirm the payment. No hidden charges apply.
• Payment receipts are sent to your registered email address automatically after each transaction.

• Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase if no premium features have been used. After this period, subscriptions are non-refundable.
• Using premium features — including sending messages, viewing contact details, or using profile boost — voids eligibility for a refund.
• Refund requests can be submitted by contacting billing@himshaadi.com with your registered email and transaction details.
• Approved refunds are processed within 7-10 business days to the original payment method.

You agree not to use the platform for any of the following purposes:

• Posting false, misleading, or deceptive profile information or photographs.
• Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users through messages or interests.
• Using the platform for commercial solicitation, advertising, or spam.
• Impersonating another person or using someone else's photographs without consent.
• Attempting to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or personal data.
• Soliciting money, gifts, or financial assistance from other users under any pretext.
• Sharing or distributing other users' personal information outside the platform.
• Creating profiles for individuals under the age of 18, even with parental consent.
• Using automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access platform data.

HimShaadi provides matchmaking services and a platform for users to connect with prospective matches. We do not guarantee that you will find a suitable match, get married through the platform, or have a successful relationship. We are not a party to any interactions between users and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, are not liable for disputes, losses, or damages arising from those interactions.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the platform. We may perform scheduled maintenance and will endeavour to provide advance notice.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
